Trick Or Treat

Reagan really got into trick or treating this year. She was so excited to get the candy! She would run up to each door, knock and say the magic phrase all by herself. We didn't think it could get any cuter than that... we were wrong! She was adorable handing out the candy to all the kids who would come to our door. If too long of a time would pass between the visits, she would open the door and stand in the entranceway hollering for the kids to come to her house. She really was the perfect princess tonight from the tip of her crown to the bottom of her high heeled Cinderella slippers!

Being that the last day of ballet before Fall Break also fell on Halloween, it only seemed appropriate that Reagan wore her Cinderella costume to ballet class. She was the belle of the ball! All the girls looked so cute in their costumes at the beginning of class... Reagan was the only one to keep her's on the entire time. She really is a diva princess!

Jack-O-Lanterns

Reagan was all excited to carve pumpkins, but she was a little unsure about sticking her hands in the "goop". Once we gave her the big spoon, she was ready to go!

The Pumpkin Patch

A trip to the pumpkin patch would not be complete without a pumpkin! We hopped onto the flatbed pulled by the tractor and set off to the middle of the pumpkin patch. Reagan chose the smallest one in the whole patch we think (we got a bigger one as well) and she was very proud of her discovery. Ryan and I were very proud of Reagan for a reason that had nothing to do with pumpkins. We were standing smack dab in the middle of the pumpkin patch (aka the middle of nowhere close to a bathroom) when Reagan exclaimed that she needed to go potty. I quickly picked her up and carried her over to what I think was a giant corn stalk. Whatever it was, it provided a screen from us and the rest of the pumpkin hunters. If you are a avid follower of this blog, then you know that Reagan is recently potty trained. We've yet to have an accident in public (and we've had less than a handful at home I might add!) but I still carry a diaper and a pair of panties and pants in my diaper bag just in case. I whipped off her pants and panties in the middle of the pumpkin patch and was in the process of pulling a diaper up on her (which I thought was the easiest idea for the situation) when she proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs, "I DO NOT PEE PEE IN A DIAPER! I DO NOT PEE PEE IN MY PANTS!" Okay... Ryan and I just looked at each other and both said at the same time, "Well then, squat!" Reagan thought it was the funniest thing in the world to "pee pee on the pumpkins", and we all agree that the biggest pumpkin in the world next year will grown from Reagan's watering spot!

"My Baby Goat"

Aldor Acres also had a petting zoo, and Reagan fell in love with one of the baby goats. She would tell anyone who came near, "This is my baby goat." The poor thing was a good sport about all of it, even when Reagan had it in a head-lock for fear that it was going to run away!

The Hay Barn at Aldor Acres

We wanted to go to a pumpkin patch, so we decided to head out to Aldor Acres. It is much more than just a pumpkin patch. There was so much for the kids to do, and it was the simplest of ideas that Reagan loved the most. They filled one of the barns with bales of hay for the kids to climb up and play on. Reagan was in heaven... we literally had to drag her out of there!

Story Telling

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing - Photo Books

Every night before bed, once the lights are off, I make up stories to tell Reagan. Her favorite is the one about a little girl named Reagan and her little puppy dog named Dixie. Lately, Reagan has started telling the story herself. While we were in the line up for the ferry ride home from the corn maze, we let Reagan get out of her carseat to run free in the car. Luckily, I had the camera ready when she started to tell the story. Of course, the train coming by took us all by surprise, and I accidentally hit the stop button. Just in case you need an interpretation of Reagan's version, I've printed the full story below...
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Reagan who had a little puppy dog named Dixie. Reagan and Dixie love to go for long walks. They walk around the block, they walk to the park, they walk through the forest, and sometimes they walk to feed the ducks. One day while walking, they came upon a bridge with a river underneath it. Dixie was thirsty so she asked Reagan if she could take a drink. Reagan said, "Sure can." But Reagan didn't know that the water in the river was magic water. As soon as Dixie took a drink, she was able to FLY! Reagan held on tightly to Dixie's paw, and together they soared through the sky. They flew over the trees and above the clouds. They flew so high that they could see everything below them. Reagan and Dixie flew through the sky for so long that they became very hungry. They could smell dinner cooking at Reagan's house below them, so they came in for a landing in the back yard. Then Reagan and Dixie went inside to eat all of their dinner all gone. The End.

I Want a Pony!

Just like on the mountain slide, Reagan insisted on riding the pony all by herself. She wouldn't even let us go in the ring with her to just hand over the ticket... she had to do it. And do it she did! We aren't riding experts, but we think she even had perfect form. Her cousin Julia will have to let us know about that one! She was so proud of herself, and we were pretty proud of her too.

Meadows Mountain Slide

"No Daddy, I do it by myself!"
That seemed to be the theme of the day for us. We thought the mountain slide might be too much for Reagan to handle on her own, but she proved us wrong as she pushed us away. The pictures tell the story... she grabbed her piece of burlap, climbed the mountain, and came down the slide all by herself. Over and over and over and over again!

The Meadows Maze

It is the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend (yes, Thanksgiving in October... crazy!) and we decided to do something fun. We took Reagan to The Meadows Maze corn maze in Pitt Meadows. Somehow, we were there for three hours and never set foot in the corn maze! Reagan was more interested in all the other stuff that they have to do there. We were impressed with the petting zoo... especially the gigantic turkey!
